研究人员进行一前瞻性的、非盲随机对照试验,招募18-40岁铁耗尽(血清铁蛋白≤25ug/L)的女性,用54Fe、57Fe或58Fe标记的硫酸亚铁评估铁吸收情况。研究(1):将受试者按1:1随机分成两组,一组于每日8点(±1h)予以60mg铁,连续14天;另一组每隔一日予以60mg铁,持续28天。研究(2):受试者分为两组,并根据血清铁蛋白水平分层,一组于每日8点给予120mg铁,一组分别于8点和17点各给予60mg铁,连续3天。主要评估指标是铁的生物利用效率(于终止补充铁剂后14天,通过检测红细胞的同位素量和血清铁蛋白来评估)。

2015年10月15-29日,研究(1)招募40位受试者,22位分至连续组,19位分至间断组。连续组和间断组累积铁吸收分数平均分别是16.3%(9.3,28.8)和21.8%(13.7,34.6;p=0.0013);累积总铁吸收分别是131.0mg(71.4,240.5)和175.3mg(110.3,278.5;p=0.0010)。

2015年8月13-18日,研究(2)招募20位受试者,10位分至日一组、10位分至日二组。两组间吸收分数(11.8%[7.1,19.4] vs 13.1%[8.2,20.7];p=0.33)和总铁吸收(44.3mg[29.4,66.7]vs 49.4[35.2,69.4];p=0.33)均无显着差异。日二分散剂量会导致血清铁调素水平更高(p=0.013)。

对于铁耗尽的女性,每日分散剂量补充铁会增加血清铁调素、降低铁吸收。间断(每隔一日)单剂量补充铁剂铁吸收效果最佳。
