神经与血管紧密的联系在一起,并且能够在血管发育的过程中帮助形成脉管系统。之前的研究表明新形成的神经纤维也许能够调控肿瘤微环境,但是它们的精确功能仍旧不清楚。最近,有研究人员通过对前列腺癌小鼠模型的研究,展示了在前列腺癌基质中,通过肾上腺素能神经衍生的去甲肾上腺素而产生的内皮细胞-β肾上腺素能受体信号对血管生成开关的激活具有重要的作用,并且该开关能够促使肿瘤指数生长。同时,上述现象的发生要通过内皮细

最近,有研究人员通过对前列腺癌小鼠模型的研究,展示了在前列腺癌基质中,通过肾上腺素能神经衍生的去甲肾上腺素而产生的内皮细胞-β肾上腺素能受体信号对血管生成开关的激活具有重要的作用,并且该开关能够促使肿瘤指数生长。同时,上述现象的发生要通过内皮细胞代谢的改变。另外,内皮细胞血管生成尤其依赖有氧糖酵解。研究人员还发现,编码β2-肾上腺素能受体基因内皮细胞Adrb2功能的丧失能够抑制血管的生成,具体是通过增强内皮细胞的氧化磷酸化来实现。Adrb2Cox10(一个编码细胞色素IV氧化酶组装因子基因)的同时敲除能够阻止由Adrb2缺失诱导的代谢转换,并且可以恢复前列腺癌的恶化。最后,研究人员指出,神经和内皮细胞之间的对话潜在地能够成为一个抗癌治疗的靶标。
