皮肤上含有多样的微生物群落,它们可以随时间而改变。在目前的研究中,研究人员发现,用不同的共生体(微生物)种植于小鼠,会导致小鼠生成特异性免疫细胞。

新研究详细描述了常见的皮肤共生体即表皮葡萄球菌如何增强对病原体的免疫应答而不引起炎症。表皮葡萄球菌种植于小鼠的皮肤后,增加小鼠CD8 + T免疫细胞的数量,此类免疫细胞产生化学信使IL-17A。

树突状细胞是另一种类型的免疫细胞,其在诱导产生该特定的非炎性反应中发挥了关键作用。表皮葡萄球菌种植于小鼠后能保护小鼠防止感染致病真菌。剔除CD8 + T细胞或中和IL-17A后能逆转这种保护作用。
