新奥尔良杜兰大学公共卫生及热带医学院的Angela M. Thompson及其同事开展了一项统合分析,旨在评估抗高血压治疗与继发性预防CVD 和全因死亡之间的关系,这些人都没有临床定义的高血压(即其收缩压为140毫米汞柱或以上,或是舒张压为90毫米汞柱或以上)。 从874个可能相关的发表文章中,研究人员找到了达到该统合分析预设的纳入及排除标准的25个试验。 这25项研究融合了来自6万4162位没有高血压的试验参与者的数据,其中 76%为男性。
在不同的结果中,研究人员发现,这些人的卒中风险减少了23%;充血性心力衰竭(CHF)风险减少了29%;复合(各种疾病后果的组合)CVD风险减少了15%;全因死亡率减少了13%。
