The cosmetic section provides expanded coverage on new procedures and techniques and offers more cosmetic-specific content than any other journal. All subscribers enjoy full access to the Journal''s website, which features broadcast quality videos of reconstructive and cosmetic procedures, podcasts, comprehensive article archives dating to 1946, and additional benefits offered by the newly-redesigned website.
The goal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery® is to inform readers about significant developments in all areas related to reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. Significant papers on any aspect of plastic surgery—original clinical or laboratory research, operative procedures, comprehensive reviews, cosmetic surgery—as well as selected ideas and innovations, letters, case reports and announcements of educational courses, meetings, and symposia are invited for publication. Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is a monthly, peer-review publication dedicated to chronicling the present and laying the experimental and clinical foundations for future advances in clinical plastic and reconstructive surgery. It is the premier print and on-line source for monthly, peer-reviewed articles on plastic and reconstructive surgery. It''s potential global reach extends to over 13 million end-users through the Ovid online database, and through the Hinari program, access to Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is available free of charge to surgeons, hospitals, and medical schools in Third World countries.
The purpose of the Journal serves in cooperation with the overall mission of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons,® which is to support its members in their efforts to provide the highest quality patient care and maintain professional and ethical standards through education, research and advocacy of socioeconomic and other professional activities.
